2016 DNCC Internship Program

2016 DNCC Internship Program

During July 25–28, 2016, in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Democratic Party will convene its quadrennial convention to nominate the 45th President of the United States. The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) is responsible for all aspects of the planning and execution of this Convention, from housing the delegates to convening Platform Committee meetings and producing the Convention’s live programing, seen by millions of people around the world.

Program Overview

The Democratic National Convention Committee is looking for enthusiastic, politically-minded future leaders for the 2016 Internship Program. This program is designed to give highly-motivated interns an inside look at how the 2016 Democratic National Convention is put together. Interns will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with DNCC leadership and staff in planning the Convention.

To reflect the demographics of the Democratic Party, we encourage individuals from all ethnicities, of all genders, with all levels of education, and from any geographic location to apply for the Internship Program. We welcome applications from individuals who may or may not have been previously been involved in the political process; those who are currently enrolled in educational institutions, those out of school, or those currently in the workforce; and individuals who reside either in the Philadelphia region or elsewhere in the country.

We recognize that this short term opportunity may not be financially feasible for all individuals.  To that end, we have limited financial scholarships available to help offset costs for qualified individuals who are selected to participate in the Internship Program. Applicants will have the opportunity to pursue a financial scholarship as a part of their application process.
