Join High School Students from across New Jersey for a two night/three day all-encompassing opportunity to learn about politics, policy making, issue advocacy and professional development from the best and brightest minds New Jersey has to offer.

High School students from across New Jersey will spend time in our capital city of Trenton, the Statehouse and State Street to attend trainings and workshops hosted by Democratic and Progressive allies.

The New Jersey Young Democrats High School Leadership Academy is scheduled from Sunday, July 29 through Tuesday, July 31, 2018. You must be able to participate for the full three days if selected.

NJYD HSLA is open to all currently-enrolled rising high school students. We celebrate and welcome diverse leaders from across New Jersey.

We will be enrolling approximately 20 students. We ask students cover a $150 student fee for participating which helps offset costs for lodging, food, etc. Everything else will be covered by the New Jersey Young Democrats. However, NO ONE will be turned away from the program due to financial constraints.

Once accepted to the program, all students MUST provide a signed permission slip from their parent/guardian. No exceptions.

The DEADLINE for application submission is Sunday, May 6th.
